Power Play (Demo)
A downloadable game for Windows and Linux
You have never known love. All your life, you’ve watched everyone around you fall in love. Your best friend, Suzu, has been pining after another student for years. Your other best friend, Yuki, had a girlfriend for a few years, although they broke up last year. Even your brother has a girlfriend, and he’s in middle school.
It’s not as though you’ve never had feelings for someone— you definitely have, they’ve just never been returned. As much as it pains you, it’s quite possible you just weren’t meant to find someone who cares about you. Sure, your friends are great, and it’s clear they want the best for you, but from what you’ve heard, none of that will ever match up to the beautiful experience of being loved.
So… here you are. Going through the motions. Hoping against all hope that you’ll find someone to finally, finally love you. At this point, though, it would probably take a miracle.

This is just a demo of this game! Apologies for any issues with it, I made this for the Bingo Jam and didn’t have too much time to flesh things out! I also don’t have any way to test the Linux build, so… good luck!
Note: There's some swearing here and there and one somewhat crude joke but generally not NSFW and probably not offensive to most audiences.
Bingo Score: 22/23!
- Game name is a pun, alliteration, wordplay, or includes the theme or jam name
- Provide extensive lore/backstory on the itch page
- Do not include a main menu
- Use Kevin McLeod music (be sure to give credit, as specified on the website)
- Use Kenney assets
- Make home-recorded sounds (don't even worry about the quality)
- Use disjointed art asset styles
- Use the default Unity skybox somehow
Make a janky player character animation- Font is Comic Sans (free lookalike), and/or Arial (Unity default), other meme-y fonts will be accepted.
- Include a box/rock pushing puzzle
- Post WIP images/gifs in the Discord
- Hide an easter egg (relating to the jam name, theme, previous Jammy Wednesdays, Darz, whatever as long as it's recognizable)
- Give the exe/zip and the game different names
- Hint at a feature, but apologize in-game for running out of time
- Esc button quits the game
No failure/death screen, game just restarts(I feel like I did this but I genuinely can't remember? also, not sure if resetting after credits counts really)- Player can fall out of the world, especially when they don't expect it
- Game crashes (ideally not in a way that prevents winning)
- Post the final game submission in the Discord
- Include a sweet gameplay gif on the itch page
- Upload an untested build for a system mentioning that you don't have access to it (i.e. Mac users post a PC build, and vice versa)
- Submit the game within 1 hour or less of the deadline
- Include a cat in the game (this isn't quite a trope, I just want to see some cats)
